As of Monday, July 18, the multi-use pathway at George McIlraith Bridge (spanning the Rideau River between Smyth Road and Main Street) will be closed for three weeks as a safety precaution while the bridge bearings are replaced overhead.

The pathway is located at the west abutment of the bridge, between Rideau Garden Drive and the roundabout on Rideau River Drive. Cyclists and pedestrians will be detoured via the intersection of Riverdale Avenue and Main Street.
