Royal Canadian Legion Strathcona Branch 595 Remembrance Parade

The Royal Canadian Legion’s Strathcona Branch 595 will hold its  annual Remembrance Ceremony on Sunday Nov. 9 on Main Street at Beckwith,.

The ceremony will begin at 10:50 a.m.

A parade will form at Main and Hazel Street at 10:25 and proceed up Main Street to the Beckwith Gates.

The joint bands of the Falkland Sea Cadets ‘Dow’s Lake,’ and the ‘742 Air Cadet Highland & Brass Band (Uplands) will lead the parade.

They will be accompanied by the Colour Parties of the first responders of Ottawa – fire, police and paramedics – and the Governor General’s Foot Guards.

Federal, provincial and municipal elected officials will lay wreaths on behalf of their respective offices. Other invited dignitaries, branch, cadet corps and merchants of Ottawa East will also lay wreaths.
