What a difference a growing year makes.
Just a few short months ago, gardeners of the Old Ottawa East Garden Association were worrying about what would happen to their plots on the Oblate property.
Then Saint Paul University stepped in and provided additional land and water. All it asked the gardeners was to maintain their area and make it look good.
The gardeners began work, creating boxes, filling them with new soil, mushroom compost and plants. With sun, rain and careful tending, the gardens have flourished.
Fall harvest is looking good.
